Mojo Shamba · Timau, Kenya
Shamba School
Get kids offline. Learn real life skills.
Up in the Kenyan highlands, on a forested hillside, a cabin, a kitchen garden, some animals and a slow rhythm of real days.
Dare to live | Dare to love
The shamba story
How a quiet hillside became Mojo Shamba.
“I woke up one day
And wanted a change
I want to plant food, watch it grow and then eat it. I want to house chickens and eat their eggs for breakfast. We want to fix things and make thing with my hands. I want to be free, to be creative. I want to move and be outside.
And that’s how I ended up with a cabin in Timau – it’s the most exciting thing I have ever done and it’s going to change my life. Join me on the journey …”

WHAT’S COMING
A place to learn, create and grow.
Mojo School is our dream of a hands-on learning space where children can build real-life skills, confidence and connection.
It is about getting kids offline and helping them learn practical things they can use in everyday life growing food, cooking, fixing, making and spending more time outside.
We are building it now and can’t wait to share more soon.
WE FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS

PRACTICAL SKILLS
Real-world skills for everyday life.

CONNECTION
To each other and the world around us.

CREATIVITY
Space to imagine, make and express.

COMMUNITY
Growing together. Stronger together.
Real days, real light.
All photographs are Katy's own, taken on the farm and in the forest.
